Holiday simmer pots are one of my favorite things to do during the holidays. Whether its putting one on while putting up Christmas decorations, simmering one while watching Christmas movies or throwing one on before company comes over, these are always a holiday staple. Not only do I love to simmer one in my own home, but I also love giving these as gifts to friends around the holidays. Sometimes it’s the simplest gifts that brighten someone’s day and if you’re going to buy the ingredients to make one for your own home you might as well make a few extra for loved ones.
I made two different kinds so here is a list of what you’ll need for each.
What you’ll need:
- Dried oranges– I made these but you can buy these as well-
- Dried cranberries – I bought these
- Cinnamon sticks
- Pine
- Cloves
- Pine
- Cinnamon sticks
- Star anise
- Peppermint stick
- Coconut flakes
- Vanilla beans
For yourself, simply place ingredients into a pot with 2-3 cups of water, bring to a boil and then to a simmer and enjoy all the Christmas smells. If you’re giving this as a gift, fill a mason jar with each ingredient. Add a bow and a tag and that’s it! I made my tags on Canva.
