I think it’s pretty common in most families to put out cookies and milk on Christmas Eve, however growing up we used to sprinkle reindeer food in our front yard as well! This was one of my favorite memories as a kid around Christmas time, so I wanted to make sure to pass this tradition on to our kids. What’s even better is you can make reindeer food yourself simply using supplies in your home that you already have.
What you’ll need:
- Mason jar or you can use a Ziplock bag
- Ribbon
- Oatmeal
- Sprinkles– I used green and red
- Tags- I made mine on Canva- feel free to use my template or make your own
Verbiage on tag:
“Sprinkle on the lawn Christmas Eve night. The moonlight will make it sparkle bright. As Santa’s reindeer fly and roam. This will guide them to your home.”
