For Cinco de Mayo we made a DIY margarita flight board and experimented with a few different margarita recipes! Here are our three favorites that made the cut.
Spicy Pineapple Margarita
The tangy and sweet flavors of the pineapple are perfectly complemented by the bold and spicy kick of serrano pepper, making this the perfect drink for anyone who loves a flavorful and exciting cocktail. Served over ice, this delicious margarita is perfect for sipping on a hot summer day or enjoying with friends at a party.
Ingredients
- ½ oz agave or honey
- ½ oz lime juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 2-3 slices serrano pepper slices (no seeds)
- 1 oz cointreau
- 2 oz tequila blanco
- Garnish with tajun rim and 1 serrano pepper slice
Prickly Pear Margarita
Margarita is typically made with tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau, but with the addition of prickly pear syrup – it gives you a unique fruity and refreshing twist!
Ingredients
- 3 cups tequila blanco
- 1 ½ cup Cointreau
- 1 ½ cup lime juice
- ¾ cup prickly pear syrup
- Garnish with a salted rim and a lime wheel
Original Margarita
The original margarita is a classic margarita that has stood the test of time and remains a favorite among cocktail enthusiasts. So whether you’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo or just looking for a refreshing cocktail to enjoy, this could be it for you!

- 1 oz Cointreau
